Biography

I have worked as a freelance classical and pop cellist for many years and I have participated on more than 40 norwegian recordings. But I felt that it was time for me to make something of my own and in the fall of 2008 I released my first solo album on the indie label Madebyme Records/Nordic Records. I've been touring Norway from Kristiansand in the south to Svalbard (Norwegian territory near the north pole) where I brought 8 musicians, had a great time and some good gigs. I am inspired by artists like: Goldfrapp, Björk, Coldplay, Magnet, Kings of Convenience and Susanna and the magical orchestra.....to mention a few.

We played at the Kongsberg jazzfestival in 2008 and in 2009. After one of our gigs Nigel Kennedy jumped up on stage and congratulated me on my performance. It was a great encouragement for me, concidering that he is one of the great classical performers who is crossing those imaginary borders between musical styles. As I am aiming to do.........
